DD Free Dish is migrating to GSAT15 Satellite From 31st Jan 2016
This is good news that DD Free dish India's Free DTH service preparing for migrating satellite from Insat4B to GSAT15. This information provided by Mr.CK Jain via his official twitter handle.

Mr. Jain also informed that migration will be starting in phases to minimize interruption; all technical parameters details will be provided to users, users will need to feed new frequencies to their set-top box and re-scan their set-top boxes.
"After successful migration, DD Free dish have new and more channel slots so MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 TV channels will be add in next expansions" he added.

GSAT15 Satellite Started Migration to Two New Frequencies for DD FREEDISH
This is very good news because newly launched satellite started broadcast in one transponder ( Frequency). In this frequency 16 TV channels shifted to new satellite. Very soon other channels would be transferred to GSAT 15 satellite.

Prasar Bharati recently announced for 25th eauction for vacant slots of DD Freedish. in this eauction two TV channels won the slot, Sony PAL and Manoranjan Movies. Although Sony Pal channel already available on DD Freedish platform and it has renewed its one year subscription. But Manoranjan movies was removed in last eauction but now it will be available again on Doordarshan Direct to home service.

Rescan DD Freedish MPEG-4 Set-Top Box with New Frequency - Watch Video
As you know we have already informed to our visitors that DD Freedish migrating its DTH service " DD Free Dish" from old satellite INSAT4B to new satellite GSAT15 with effect from 1st February, 2016.
We are requested to all DD Free Dish viewers to follow given below steps to rescan or retune your set-top Box after 1st February 2016.
Here are some steps for retune or rescan your set-top box (Installation menu may different according to set-top box manufacturers).

- अगर आपके सेट-टॉप बॉक्स मे "एंटेना सेट्टिंग्स" नही है तो घबराईए मत, आप ऊपर दिए गये चित्र के हिसाब से सेट्टिंग्स कर सकते है. एक बार आप "22K" को "OFF" करके ट्यून करे और एक बार 22K "On" करके ट्यून करे. इससे आपको DD Free Dish पर ज़्यादा चेनाल्स मिलेगे. आप LNB फ्रीक्वेन्सी को 05150-05150 या 09750-10600 करके ट्यून कर सकते है. ये आपके सेट-टॉप बॉक्स की क्वालिटी पर निर्भर करता है, की किस LNB फ्रीक्वेन्सी को जल्दी और सही ट्यून करेगा.

DD Free dish announced 26th e-auction for vacant slots of DD Freedish, First time DD Freedish invites applications separately from Regional and General TV Channels. DD Free Dish (Prasar Bharati) will conduct 26th online e-Auction for filling up of Vacant DTH Slot for the DTH Service of Doordarshan's DD Free Dish on 15th February, 2016 (Monday) for Regional DTH Slot and General DTH Slot.

1. e-AUCTION FOR REGIONAL DTH SLOT :
1.1. The Reserve Price per Regional DTH Slot is Rs.2.00 Crores. Regional DTH Slot includes only non-Hindi Channels (News or Non-News). Bhojpuri channels and
Hindi Regional Channels will not be part of it.
1.2. Participation Amount (EMD) of DTH Regional Slot is Rs.50.00 Lakh (Rupees Fifty Lakh) only, Demand Draft in favour of PB (BCI) Doordarshan Commercial Service, New Delhi.
1.3. Incremental amount will be Rs.5.00 Lakhs for Regional Slot in 26thonline e- Auction and every e-Auction will be of 15 Minutes duration.
1.4. Processing Fee (Non-refundable) Rs.10, 000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) only, Demand Draft in favour of PB (BCI) Doordarshan Commercial Service, New Delhi.
2. e-AUCTION FOR GENERAL DTH SLOT :

DD Free Dish India's Free DTH service recently moved to new satellite. DD Free Dish gets 5 high gain transponders (Frequencies) for DTH platform.

We are receiving lots comments in comment section that "Dangal" and other TV channels from frequency 11170/V/29500 not getting. So we also checked this issue and got some results:
